Krafton Inc. sees an increase in its net revenue and its record half-year net profit in the company’s history, the South Korean company reported in its preliminary earnings announcement for the first half of 2022 on August 11th.

The South Korean company, known primarily for its PUBG IPs, posted $729.5 million (946.7 billion KRW) in revenue in the first half of 2022 and a net profit of $338.4 million (439.2 billion KRW), which is the highest half-year net profit in the company’s history and a 2.86% revenue increase compared to the first half of 2021.

Over 75% of that revenue, precisely $550.7 million (715.6 billion KRW), comes from Krafton’s mobile business, mostly PUBG MOBILE (which is being ranked second in global mobile game sales) and PUBG NEW STATE, which reportedly have seen an increase in total play time and play frequency in the second quarter of 2022.

On top of that, Krafton has reported a steady inflow of 80,000 new users per day for their flagship PC game in PUBG: Battlegrounds, alongside an over 20% QoQ (Quarter-over-Quarter) increase in their average revenue per user. Of the PUBG: Battlegrounds Q2 2022 revenue, Krafton reported that 94% of it has been driven from international markets (outside of South Korea).
